I’m Rebecca Perez PT, DPT, PCS, a physical therapist with a Board-Certification in Pediatrics. One of only three PT’s in the Rio Grande Valley to hold this distinction. Even before beginning college, I knew that working with children was my calling. I have a special interest and additional training in working with children with developmental delays and various neuromuscular, orthopedic, and genetic conditions.
Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2011 with double minors in Psychology and English.
Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2015.
Certified in Dynamic Movement Intervention, Introductory Level A, which is an innovative pediatric physical therapy intervention designed to stimulate neuroplasticity and development of motor milestones.
On a personal note…
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends. My husband, son and I love watching basketball, playing board/video games, and spending time at the beach or a pool! My wonderful parents, who have always fostered education and leadership, blessed me with five incredible older sisters who are experts in their field of study. My friends have become like family and are some of my biggest cheerleaders. We love to plan parties (themed of course), have movie/game nights, or dance the night away. I am forever grateful to my entire family for their constant love and support.
